SAFARI ITINERARY  

AMBOSELI X2, ELEMENTAITA X1, MARA X2, NAIROBI

 

Day 1 – Arrive JKIA and transfer to Amboseli + PM at leisure. Overnight Sentrim Amboseli Camp or similar (HB).
Day 2 – Full day game drive in Amboseli with picnic lunches. Overnight Sentrim Amboseli Camp or similar (FB).
Day 3 – To Elemantaita + PM at leisure. Overnight at Sentrim Elementaita Lodge (FB).
Day 4 – To Masai Mara + PM game drive. Overnight Sentrim Mara Camp or similar (FB).
Day 5 – Full day in Masai Mara. AM+PM game drive. Overnight Sentrim Mara Camp or similar (FB).
Day 6 – To Nairobi + PM at leisure. Overnight at Sentrim Boulevard Hotel or similar (BB).
Day 7 – To JKIA and depart.

DAY 1:- Amboseli (D)

Arrive at JKIA where a wildtrek safaris representative will meet you followed by a brief safari briefing and later depart for Amboseli. Drive south across the Athi plains, home of the Maasai tribe to the Kenya-Tanzania border town of Namanga, and 170 kms from Nairobi.  Then turn East a further 80 kms to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Dinner and overnight at AMBOSELI SENTRIM CAMP.
Approximate Distance from Nairobi - 240 KM
Approximate driving time – 4 hrs

DAY 2:- Amboseli (B/L/D)

Full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. In this park, big herds of elephant may be seen with Mt. KiIimanjaro, at 19, 340 feet, the highest mountain in Africa in the back ground.  Giraffes, cheetahs and lions can also be seen All meals and overnight at AMBOSELI SENTRIM CAMP.

DAY 3:- ELEMENTAITA (B/L/D)
Breakfast and depart for the rift valley lakes region passing through the rift valley view point.  Lunch at the resort followed by afternoon at leisure.
Distance from Amboseli - 350 km
Approximate driving time- 6 hrs
Lunch, Dinner and overnight ----------------- SENTRIM ELEMENTAITA LODGE.

DAY 4:- Maasai Mara (B/L/D)
Breakfast and depart for Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive for lunch to a warm welcome from Maasai staff at the lodge.  Maasai Mara, covering 1800 sq kms is an extension of the world famous Serengeti National Park of Tanzania.   It experiences the world's largest wildlife spectacle with 1.5 million wildebeests; hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles, topi and other plain game migrate between Serengeti and Maasai Mara every year. Moving in a single file, herds of game led by the wildebeest move northwards from Serengeti, followed by the predators and scavengers such as lions, hyenas, jackals, and hunting dogs on the watch for newborns and animals weakened by the long trek.  Overhead, vultures circle and wait.   Lunch at the lodge and depart for an afternoon first game drive in this park which is home to the rare black mane lion.
Approximate Distance from Elementaita - 250 KM
Approximate driving time – 4 hrs
Lunch, Dinner and overnight ----------------------- SENTRIM MARA CAMP

Day 5:- Maasai Mara (B/L/D)
Full day in Masai Mara to explore and enjoy the beauty of the vast Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You may also depart after breakfast with picnic lunches for the full day game drive and get the opportunity for explore further afield.  Alternatively start the day with an optional early morning hot air Balloon ride across the Mara plains followed by a champagne breakfast and a game drive en-route back to the lodge (at an extra cost).

DAY 6:- NAIROBI (B)

Breakfast at the lodge and depart for Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

Approximate driving time – 5 hrs

DAY 7:- NAIROBI (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to JKIA and depart.
